FORTGROUP Acquired Assets of Macromir

FORTGROUP company, founded in March 2011, acquired assets of Macromir, which was at the stage of liquidation.

FORTGROUP acquired six shopping centers in Saint Petersburg with a GBA (Gross Boma Area) of 260 thousand sq. meters. These are French Boulevard, Fiolent, Felicita, City Mall, and Dolgoozernyj. Dolgoozernyj was still under construction at the time of purchase. FORTGROUP portfolio already included Academ Park Shopping Center, acquired from Adamant as well as South Pole and Rybatskyi shopping centers.

“We believe that shopping centers acquired from Macromir were a good buy,” Lyudmila Raeva, a business development director from ASTERA, said to the Expert. Some of the centers are quiet successful, such as the French Boulevard, the Rodeo Drive, and the City Mall. These centers have good locations. The French Boulevard is an example of a small neighborhood mall that has been always popular with the tenants. It is 100 per cent occupied. The average occupancy rate for all other facilities is also high and reaches 85 or 90 per cent. Although, other locations are not as attractive, we could still say that they are successful. All of the centers are unique and, if managed wisely, can be profitable.”
