There are Practically no Vacant Spaces at FORTGROUP Shopping Centers in Saint Petersburg

By the beginning of May occupancy rate at FORTGROUP shopping and entertainment centers in Saint Petersburg reached 99,6 per cent. “The average occupancy rate is fairly stable”, — said deputy commercial director of the company, Darya Sizykh. “The current planned rotation that we do at our facilities this year influenced the general index of rotation within the range of 0.2 - 0.3 per cent”.

As a reminder, the average vacancy rate at the classical shopping centers in Saint Petersburg in the first quarter of 2018 was 4.5 per cent. It is the lowest rate for the last five years. In general, experts forecast a decrease of average vacancy rate this year at classical shopping centers in Saint Petersburg, reaching 3.1 per cent.

The total available sales floor space in Saint Petersburg in the first quarter of 2018 reached 3009 thousand sq. meters. It is a 15 thousand sq. meter increase from the same time last year.
Attendance of the FORTGROUP facilities remains stable this year. “In May, high temperatures were the deterrent for traffic.  Some shopping centers’ customers preferred spending time outdoors. However, we cannot say that shopping index this year in comparison with analogous time period last year has dropped. On average, our portfolio demonstrates a slight increase”, - noted Darya Sizykh
